By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to our collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect or process the following categories of personal information:

       Contact details: name, billing address, shipping address, email address, telephone number.

       Account information: username, password, security questions, account preferences and settings.

       Financial information: payment card information, billing details, transaction confirmations. Payment card numbers are processed directly by our payment processors; we do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

       Transaction information: items viewed, added to cart or wishlist, purchased, returned, exchanged, or canceled; order history.

       Communications: information you provide when you contact us via email, live chat, SMS, or customer support.

       Device and technical information: IP address, device identifiers, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, language preferences, time zone, and general geographic location (such as country, state, and city) inferred from IP address.

       Usage information: pages viewed, links clicked, search queries, time spent on pages, and other interactions with the Services.

       Marketing preferences: email and SMS opt-ins, opt-outs, and communication preferences.

       Inferences: inferences drawn from the above to create profiles reflecting preferences, characteristics, behavior, and predispositions.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, precise geolocation, health information, religious beliefs, racial or ethnic origin, or biometric data), other than account login credentials, which may be considered sensitive under some laws.

2. Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information from the following sources:

       Directly from you, when you create an account, place an order, contact us, subscribe to marketing, participate in a promotion, or otherwise interact with us.

       Automatically through the Services, when you access or use the Services, through cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5 below).

       From our service providers, including Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, marketing providers, and analytics providers.

       From business and advertising partners, such as social media platforms, advertising networks, and data enrichment providers.

3. How We Use Your Personal Information

We may use your personal information to:

       Provide and fulfill the Services, including processing orders, shipping products, handling returns and exchanges, managing your account, and providing customer support;

       Communicate with you about your orders, account, and customer service inquiries;

       Send marketing communications by email and, if you have opted in, by SMS;

       Personalize your experience and recommend products;

       Show you tailored advertising on the Services and on third-party platforms, including through cross-context behavioral advertising;

       Analyze and improve the Services, including conducting research and analytics;

       Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, and other unlawful activity;

       Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement;

       Effect a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. How We Share Your Personal Information

We may share or disclose your personal information with the following categories of recipients:

       Service providers and vendors who perform services on our behalf, including: Shopify (e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers and logistics providers, customer support tools (including Olark for live chat), email and SMS marketing providers (such as Klaviyo), review platforms (such as Judge.me and Stamped.io), analytics providers (such as Google Analytics), advertising vendors and ad networks (such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Criteo, Taboola, and Outbrain), audience and identity partners (such as ID5, Adobe Audience Manager, and Lotame), hosting providers, fraud prevention services, and accounting and legal advisors.

       Advertising and analytics partners, who use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on the Services to deliver advertising, measure ad performance, and build audiences. Under California's CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws, these disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes — even when no money changes hands. You can opt out as described in Section 9 (Your Privacy Choices) and Section 10 (California Privacy Rights).

       Affiliates and corporate group, including subsidiaries and affiliates of Eight Twenty LLC.

       Business transaction parties, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business.

       Legal and regulatory recipients, when required to comply with law, subpoena, court order, or regulatory request; to enforce our terms, policies, or agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nice Laundry, our customers, or others.

       With your consent or at your direction, including when you choose to use social media features or third-party integrations on the Services.

We do not knowingly “sell” or “share” the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

5. Cookies, Pixels, and Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party partners use cookies, pixels, web beacons, tags, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to collect information about your interactions with the Services for purposes including authentication, security, analytics, advertising, and personalization.

The categories of Cookies we use include:

       Strictly Necessary Cookies — required for the Services to function (e.g., shopping cart, authentication, checkout).

       Preferences Cookies — remember your settings and preferences.

       Statistics / Analytics Cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with the Services, including Google Analytics.

       Marketing / Advertising Cookies — used to deliver and measure advertising. Major partners include Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Criteo, Taboola, and Outbrain. These technologies may involve cross-context behavioral advertising.

For the current list of specific Cookies and vendors operating on the Services, please see our Cookie Consent banner (the “Cookies Settings” link in the footer). The list is maintained by our Cookie Consent platform (Cookiebot) and updated automatically as our vendor list changes.

You can manage your Cookie preferences at any time using the Cookies Settings link in our footer.

6. Live Chat Services

We use Olark, a third-party live chat service, to provide customer support on the Services. When you initiate a chat with us, your conversation — including any personal information you provide during the chat — is recorded, stored, and processed by Olark on our behalf for purposes including customer service, quality assurance, and training. By starting a chat session, you consent to this recording and processing. For more information, see Olark’s privacy practices at olark.com.

7. SMS / Text Message Marketing

If you opt in to receive SMS or text messages from us, we may send you transactional and marketing text messages, including promotions, order updates, abandoned cart reminders, and back-in-stock notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@nicelaundry.com.

We do not share or sell your mobile phone number to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information collected for SMS marketing (including your mobile number and consent record) is not shared with affiliates, advertising partners, or other third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Sensitive Personal Information

Under California and certain other state privacy laws, “sensitive personal information” includes specific categories such as government-issued identifiers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, the contents of private communications, genetic data, biometric information, health information, and information about sex life or sexual orientation. We do not intentionally collect, use, or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by applicable law (such as to provide the Services you have requested, prevent fraud, or comply with law), and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. Account credentials (such as username and password) may constitute sensitive personal information under certain laws and are used solely to authenticate your account.

9. Your Privacy Choices

Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights and choices regarding your personal information.

Marketing Email. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us at hello@nicelaundry.com. You may continue to receive transactional and service-related emails.

SMS / Text Messages. You may opt out of marketing SMS at any time by replying STOP to any text message.

Cookies and Tracking. You can manage Cookie preferences using the “Cookies Settings” link in our footer. You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that some Services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Targeted Advertising Opt-Outs. You can opt out of targeted advertising from members of the Network Advertising Initiative at networkadvertising.org/choices and the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info/choices. Opting out does not stop all advertising — you will simply see less personalized ads.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser transmits a GPC signal while visiting the Services, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” and “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To learn more about GPC, visit globalprivacycontrol.org. Other than GPC, we do not currently recognize “Do Not Track” or other browser signals.

“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” You can submit a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer, by enabling GPC in your browser, or by contacting us at hello@nicelaundry.com.
